Vermont Craftsmanship Built to Outlast the Elements.

Heritage Slating replaced our 90-year-old slate roof after a brutal ice dam season. Tom and his crew matched the original Vermont slate perfectly, you can't even tell where the old roof ends and the new one begins. They showed up every morning on time, kept the site spotless, and finished a day ahead of schedule. Worth every penny.

After the May windstorm ripped half our flashing off, I called Heritage at 7am on a Saturday. Someone was on my roof by noon. They tarped the damage, dealt directly with my insurance adjuster, and had the full repair done within the week. I've never had a contractor make the claims process that painless.

We had three other contractors tell us our slate roof needed a full tear-off. Heritage came out, inspected every course by hand, and showed us exactly which tiles needed replacing, about a quarter of what the others quoted. Honest, meticulous, and they clearly know historic slate. I won't use anyone else.

The reconstruction work on our back porch after a tree fell through it was flawless. They didn't just patch it, they rebuilt the post structure to match the 1920s craftsmanship of the rest of the house. The financing option made it doable without draining our savings. Genuinely skilled carpenters.

Heritage repainted our entire farmhouse exterior with a weather-resistant coating that has held up through two winters now with zero peeling. The prep work was incredibly thorough, they sanded, primed, and caulked every seam. The color match to the original was spot on. Professional from quote to final walkthrough.

They transformed our overgrown hillside property into something usable. Heavy brush removal, grading, new drainage, and a clean stone pathway. The crew worked through some nasty weather and never cut corners. The landscaping looks like it's always been there. The 1-year warranty gave us real peace of mind too.

I manage a cluster of rental properties in Burlington and Heritage is now my only roofing call. Slate repairs, emergency patching, preventive maintenance, they handle all of it and document everything for my records. Responsive, fairly priced, and they actually answer the phone. Rare qualities these days.

When our insurance company tried to deny a claim for hail damage, Heritage provided a detailed inspection report with photos that won the appeal. They then did the full slate replacement and it looks better than the original. Standing behind their work with a written warranty meant everything to us.
